We say NO to parabens, microplastics, silicones, mineral oils, PEG, chemical UV filters, artificial colourants and other questionable or harmful ingredients. Furthermore, our scent compositions are approved by ECOCERT, which means they are made only from natural extracts of flowers, woods, herbs or tree leaves. We never use synthetic fragrances in the products.

All SCARAB products are vegan. Even products that contain Lactic Acid are, as this ingredient is simply created through fermentation and isn’t animal-derived in itself.

All SCARAB products are formulated with clean, pure ingredients and no harmful chemicals, parabens etc. We test each product to prove its safety. We would however recommend for pregnant or breast feeding women to check the INCI list, if they have any specific allergies or any concerns during these delicate periods.

Yes, our production facility is certified according to ISO 22716:2007, the international standard for Good Manufacturing Practices for cosmetics. The certification provides guidelines for production, control, storage, and shipment.

We don’t test (and never will) on animals. We always consult with our ingredient suppliers about recommended usage and concentration for each ingredient – this is necessary to ensure that our formulas are safe and efficacious in the same way. Sometimes, we even test several hundreds of samples to decide on the best formula.

Each product is tested in a laboratory by a qualified chemist by measuring various physical and chemical properties, determining stability and expiration date. We hold on to ensure that the product complies with safety and consistency tests. We also check the physical and chemical properties of each batch to ensure that the product is consistent with the approved version from the laboratory.
